300 g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
140 g butter
60 g powder sugar
1 egg
cream or milk
filling:
approx. 600 g apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1-2 tabelspoons granulated sugar, lemon juice

  • Zubereitung

Combine butter together with flour, add baking powder, sugar, egg, cream or some milk and knead until rather stiff. Allow it to rest at a cool place for about 30 minutes, then roll out one half of the shortcrust. Lightly grease a baking tray and put the first half on it rolling the dough on the rolling pin and rolling it out on the baking tray.
Filling: Peel and slice the apples, sprinkle with lemon juice, put apples on the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and raisins, if you like. Then roll out the second half of the dough and place it onto the fillling slightly pressing the edges so that the filling cannot run out. Preheat the oven and bake at 200° C for about 20 minutes.
Tip: Walnuts or almonds also enhance the filling.
